This article examines the changes in the operational properties of engine oils during the operation of internal combustion engines under severe climatic conditions typical for the Republic of Uzbekistan. Particular attention is paid to the influence of high ambient temperatures, increased dust content in the air, and intensive operating modes of vehicles on the degradation processes of motor oils. The main factors affecting the deterioration of lubricant properties are analyzed, including oxidation processes, thermaldecomposition, contamination by wear particles, and fuel dilution. These processes lead to changes in the physicochemicalcharacteristics of engine oils, primarily viscosity, acidity, and stability of the lubricant film. The results of the study can be used to improve the efficiency of lubrication systems in vehicles operating in hot climaticregions and to develop recommendations for the use of modern high-performance engine oils.
