The soils of the Republic of Karakalpakstan are characterized by salinity and low fertility. In order to obtain high crop yields, it is necessary to improve the meliorative condition of agricultural lands and implement measures to increase soil fertility. To improve the meliorative state of soils, it is important to level the land, construct collector-drainage systems, and carry out leaching of salts. To enhance soil fertility, it is recommended to introduce crop rotation systems including legumes, oil-bearing legumes, and cereals, as well as to use preceding and intermediate crops, along with organic and non-traditional fertilizers. The study determined the effects of crop rotation, the use of preceding and intermediate crops, and the application of organic and non-traditional fertilizers on soil fertility.
