The article examines the effect of different pre-irrigation soil moisture regimes (70–70–70; 75–75–75; 80–80–80% of field capacity) on water permeability during the cultivation of winter wheat on saline soils. The results showed that by the end of the growing season, water permeability decreased; the highest value was observed at 70–70–70%, and the lowest at 80–80–80% of field capacity. It was also determined that the values decrease with increasing soil salinity.
