This article provides a detailed examination of the characteristics of Italian folk tales, the main ideas reflected in them, and the process of transitioning these tales from oral tradition to written sources. Special attention is given to the development of fairy tales as an integral part of oral folk creativity, their influence on the moral norms of society, and the expression of specific ideas across different historical periods. The works of fairy tale writers such as Giambattista Basile, Carlo Collodi, and Italo Calvino are emphasized.
