Annotatsiya

Foreign students always face difficulties in understanding and using idioms in the process of learning Korean. It is known that idioms are inextricably linked to the spiritual culture, customs, profession, living conditions, aspirations, and attitude to reality of the people who speak the language. Idioms are important tools for creating imagery and expressiveness, and they serve to enhance the expressive power of artistic, political, and journalistic texts. Since Korean speakers use so many idioms in everyday life, it is somewhat difficult for foreigners to understand these idioms. This article aims to conduct a comparative study of idioms in the Korean and Uzbek languages, to shed light on the dialectics of their commonality and specificity at the linguistic and speech levels, and to reveal their semantic-grammatical and functional stylistic features.
