This article focuses on the considerations of linguists about lexical units and phraseological units and their role in Uzbek language, the meaning they mean, and the study of structural aspects. During the analysis, the difference between word and lexical units, views and opinions of linguists are described. A lexeme is understood to mean a unit of language with a referential property and meaning. The phraseological unit is the larger unit than the word. When used by people of nationality, it is thought about the use of phraseological units as lexemes, meaning and coloring. The division of language units into levels and the reasoning in the case based on this is maintained.
