This article studies the similarities and differences between the plot of Abdulrazak Gurnah’s “Paradise”, and the story of “Yusuf” in the Holy Kuran. The fate of the heroes of two sources is compared, and its religious, secular generalities are explained as well. At the same time, selected themes addressed by Gurnah in his work are evaluated in detail.
