This paper briefly discusses metaphor and offers thoughts on the phenomenon of meaning transfer, which is its main function. At the same time, the main words and verbs used in the structure of sentences are given, and their main and figurative meanings are emphasized. In Korean literature, polysemy, as in Uzbek, is not manifested in metaphor, synecdoche and metonymy. They have expressed the phenomenon of transference of meaning only by a few examples. In short, they are given in general terms. In Korean, the phenomenon of meaning transfer should not be confused with homonymy; and it is more frequent in words belonging to the verb group of words compared to other word groups.
