This article analyzes the environmental aspects of insecticides used to protect plants from pests, the chemical composition of insecticides, including the main active ingredients and additives, their production as a commodity for world agricultural markets. The problems of classification of foreign economic activity according to the Commodity Nomenclature (IААСN) and the issues of its improvement are investigated, and relatively safe for the environment natural preparations that can replace pesticides are proposed.
