Poverty is a specific social phenomenon that occurs in any modern society. It is one of the global social problems that embodies a number of sociological concepts and principles. Poverty, as a difference in the economic status of members of society, has always been a companion of social status throughout human history. People have had more opportunities to improve their well-being than people without mental and physical abilities due to their different mental and physical abilities. For example, young people have more opportunities to improve their well-being than the elderly, pensioners have more opportunities to accumulate, manage, and save property than working people, childless families have fewer expenses than families with many children, single-parent families have fewer opportunities to provide for themselves than complete families, a person with a disability has a slightly lower chance of becoming wealthy in society than a physically healthy person, and the probability of becoming wealthy in economically prosperous regions is higher.
