This article presents the results of a sociological study conducted in Tashkent, This article presents the results of a sociological study conducted in the city of Tashkent, aimed at studying the socio-demographic and motivational factors influencing the formation of environmentally oriented behavior of citizens. Particular attention is paid to the willingness of the population to participate in the recycling of electronic waste and support for sustainable consumption. Data analysis revealed a value-action gap due to a lack of infrastructure, awareness and everyday amenities. It was found that the level of education and social support have a more significant impact on environmental behavior than income or the presence of children. Gender differences did not show statistical significance, which emphasizes the importance of the local context in the development of educational and infrastructural measures. In conclusion, the article offers practical recommendations aimed at developing infrastructure, environmental education and strengthening social motivation in the context of sustainable development.
