The article examines the socio-economic policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at reducing poverty and increasing employment. The analysis focuses on the key components of the national strategy, including the development of the construction sector, services, industry and agriculture, as well as the strengthening of social protection for low-income households. A mixed qualitative and quantitative approach is applied, combining a review of official state data with their sociological interpretation. The study concludes that, if effectively implemented, these measures may lead not only to quantitative changes in employment, but also to qualitative improvements in the social status of beneficiary families. Particular attention is paid to the role of mahallas, banks and micro-centres as essential institutional mechanisms in the implementation of social policy, and to the importance of comprehensive social monitoring.
