Annotatsiya

The posterior urethral valve (PUV) is caused by the formation of congenital mucosal folds in the posterior urethra (prostatic and membranous parts), which as a result prevents complete emptying of the bladder. It is possible to improve the results of PUV, to prevent severe complications by providing timely specialized assistance through the early diagnosis of this disease, that is, prenatal ultrasound diagnosis. In most cases, in the prenatal period, when examining babies for hydronephrosis, a state of detecting signs of PUV is often observed. Dilation of the upper urinary tract can often be prevented by placing a catheter in the bladder.
