Currently, when collecting and analyzing information related to pilgrimage sites, researchers from many relevant research centers and higher education institutions conduct scientific work and implement it in practice. Since the beginning of the 21st century, information technologies have become widespread in the social, humanitarian and religious and educational spheres. In particular, we can show scientific research in the field of tourism, pilgrimage tourism, the study of historical events based on virtual reality, the creation of a database of digital resources of ancestral heritage and other studies.
