This paper considers the issue of introducing design modifications to theimpeller of the 10GR8L slurry pump. In the original design, the impeller wasmanufactured as a single-piece (monolithic) cast component, whereas the proposedsolution divides it into two separate parts: a main disc and a cover disc. Theadvantages of this design approach are analyzed in terms of simplifyingmanufacturing technology, improving pump maintenance convenience, andextending service life. The technical and economic efficiency of the proposed solutionis substantiated.
