To study the characteristics of soil pests at different stages of potato development, a soil study was conducted on a 1.0-hectare plot planted with potatoes at the Bozorov Zohid Zamini farm in the Jamboy district of the Samarkand region. Based on the study results, the pest density per square meter was calculated at each stage of plant development, beginning with the day of potato planting. Observations revealed that the most common soil pest is the Turkestan beetle. During the germination period, the pest density per square meter was 2.6, and during fruit and seed ripening, it was 3.4. Conclusions and recommendations are drawn from the study.
