This article analyzes the role and importance of tourism in the economic development of Uzbekistan today, as well as the reforms carried out in the field of Tourism Development in the Republic in recent years, strategic programs, infrastructure projects and their results from a scientific point of view. In particular, attention is paid to the rich cultural heritage of the country, historical monuments, various areas of tourism, including the possibilities of environmentalism and pilgrimage tourism, and the process of their adaptation to international standards. The article will talk about two main categories of tourism products – material and spiritual products. While material tourism products consist mainly of a set of services related to tourist services and accommodation, spiritual products also speak of providing cultural and historical experiences to tourists. It is said that the expansion of international relations, modernization of tourist infrastructure, construction of new hotels and tourist complexes, and technological development of tourism will help strengthen the future of the tourism sector of Uzbekistan. At the same time, the full disclosure of the tourist potential of Uzbekistan and its wide promotion around the world will have a huge impact on the economic growth of the country. The author aims to develop proposals and recommendations to improve the competitiveness of Tourism in Uzbekistan on the basis of international experiences
