This research explores the national-cultural characteristics of phraseological units with anthroponymic components in English and Uzbek languages. Phraseological units – idioms, proverbs, and fixed expressions – serve as a mirror of a nation’s cultural identity, values, and worldview. When these units contain anthroponyms (personal names), they offer deeper insight into the historical, cultural, and social contexts of language use. The study provides a comparative analysis of English and Uzbek phraseological units, focusing on how personal names embedded in idioms reflect specific cultural attitudes, stereotypes, and collective memory. The research highlights both universal patterns and unique national elements, contributing to the fields of linguistic anthropology, intercultural communication, and phraseology. This study presents a comparative national-cultural analysis of phraseological units with anthroponymic components in the English and Uzbek languages. Phraseological units, such as idioms, proverbs, and fixed expressions, play a crucial role in reflecting a nation’s culture, worldview, and values. Such differences underline how language is shaped by history, tradition, and societal norms.
