This article examines the psychological characteristics of interpersonal relations in male and female handball teams. Based on an extensive review of scientific literature, gender-specific mechanisms of aggression, communication, leadership, emotional regulation, and conflict were analyzed. The interrelation between physical preparedness, functional load, and psychological factors was identified. The findings indicate that male athletes predominantly demonstrate instrumental aggression and task-oriented leadership, while female teams exhibit stronger socio-emotional support, communicative openness, and heightened emotional sensitivity. Moreover, gender differences were found to significantly influence team dynamics, decision-making processes, and the distribution of roles within the team.
