In satays, the factors influencing the occurrence of gear failures in machine assemblies during their operation were studied, and conclusions were drawn that the gears fail due to wear of the teeth in thickness. It is shown that the wear rate of gear teeth depends on the effectiveness of sealing and filtering elements in machine assemblies.
