This article notes the changes in the livestock system in the Khorezm oasis from the beginning of the last century to the 1930s, highlighting achievements and shortcomings in the field. Local shepherds, engaged in the traditional system of animal husbandry, faced a number of difficulties during the Soviet era. At the same time, it was noted that a number of reforms were carried out in the veterinary system of livestock farming in the oasis, which had a positive impact on the activities of the system.
