This article is devoted to a theoretical study of the significance of adaptive behavior in the life of adolescents with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. It is shown that adaptive behavior is a complex of reactions and actions that an individual carries out to successfully interact with the environment. This concept covers a variety of mechanisms by which people adapt to various conditions and demands placed on them in everyday life. A review of modern literature is conducted, reflecting the features of the study of this problem in Uzbekistan, Russia, Europe and America. Particular attention is paid to the influence of adaptive mechanisms on the social, emotional and academic spheres of adolescents' life. [10] The results of the analysis indicate the need for an integrated approach to diagnosis and correction, which allows optimizing the process of integrating such adolescents into the educational and social environment.
