The aim of this study was to evaluate the acute toxicity of the locally developed "Alpek" anthelmintic substance in rabbits and to determine its safe dosage for administration. Experimental studies were conducted on clinically healthy rabbits aged 6-12 months. The substance was administered orally as a single dose at 500, 1000, and 2000 mg/kg. During the study, the animals' general clinical condition, hematological, biochemical, coagulation, and pathological-anatomical parameters were comprehensively evaluated. The results demonstrated that administration of the "Alpek" substance at a dose of 500 mg/kg produced no adverse effects on the clinical condition or laboratory parameters, with all measured values remaining within the physiological reference range. At a dose of 1000 mg/kg, increased activity of liver enzymes (ALT and GGT), leukocytosis, and toxic alterations in metabolic processes were observed. Administration of the substance at 2000 mg/kg resulted in severe intoxication and lethal outcomes. The obtained findings confirmed that the toxic effects of the "Alpek" substance are dose-dependent and indicated that a dose of 500 mg/kg is safe for use in rabbits.
