DEVELOPMENT OF A DIGITAL SYSTEM FOR EARLY DETECTION OF OBESITY AND CARDIOVASCULAR RISK IN CHILDREN

Childhood overweight and obesity represent a rapidly increasing global health problem and are associated with early development of cardiovascular disorders. Early identification of risk factors using digital technologies can significantly improve preventive strategies in pediatric populations.Objective: to develop and evaluate a digital program for assessing risk factors of overweight, obesity, and early cardiovascular dysfunction in 7-year-old children.Material and Methods: the study was based on epidemiological and clinical data obtained from 846 children aged 7 years living in Tashkent city, Jizzakh, Syrdarya, and Tashkent regions. Anthropometric measurements, questionnaires on lifestyle and nutrition, blood pressure monitoring, electrocardiography, and heart rate variability analysis were used. Based on the identified risk factors and clinical indicators, a digital risk-assessment algorithm and software module (ChildFit Monitor) were developed for automated screening of overweight, obesity, and cardiovascular dysfunction in children.Results: The digital model identified several key predictors of overweight and obesity. The most significant factors included low physical activity (<2 hours/day; RR=2.38), excessive use of electronic devices (>2 hours/day; RR=2.27), and frequent consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages (RR=2.24). Early-life determinants such as artificial feeding (RR=3.27) and insufficient breastfeeding duration were also associated with increased risk. Children with obesity demonstrated early markers of cardiovascular dysfunction, including increased LF/HF ratio (>1.0), elevated stress index (>130 units), and electrocardiographic abnormalities.Conclusion: the proposed digital risk-assessment program provides an effective tool for early screening of overweight, obesity, and cardiovascular dysfunction in children.
