This article, based on local sources and the works of historians, examines the diplomatic relations between the Bukhara Emirate and the Khiva Khanate, the contradictions that existed between them, the deterioration of bilateral relations associated with the Afghan prince Mahmud, the restoration of diplomatic ties during the reign of Emir Haydar on the occasion of his son's wedding, as well as the supply of weapons to Khiva by the Bukharans.
