This article examines Ismail Gasprinsky’s efforts in publishing newspapers and the education system, the overall picture of the Muslim education system in Crimea and Central Asia in the second half of the 19th century, the social proposals and views put forward by the Jadids, and the contributions of the “Tarciman” newspaper to improving the education system. As is well known, a significant portion of Gasprinsky’s work is directly related to Turkey. Therefore, in preparing this article, in addition to newspaper materials, extensive use was made of the works of Turkish historians on this topic, as Turkish historians have published valuable research on Gasprinsky.
