At the end of the 15th century and in the 16th century, the Shaybanid dynasty emerged as a major political force in the regions of Mawarannahr and Khorasan. Many prominent statesmen originated from this dynasty, one of whom was Navruz Ahmad Khan. This article examines the political activities of Navruz Ahmad Khan, his descendants, his role in historical processes, and the political and strategic significance of the city of Tashkent – today the capital of our country – during the period of his rule.
