This article is aimed at studying social and family relations in Uzbek literature from a linguistic point of view. The kinship terms found in Tohir Malik's "Shaytanat" and O‘tkir Hoshimov's "Daftar hoshiyasidagi bitiklar" serve to express not only family ties, but also gender roles in society. This work analyzes national mentality and social values by revealing the linguistic and gender semantics of kinship terms in Uzbek literature.
