This article analyzes the historical and philosophical foundations of the concept of patriotism, tracing its formation and development from antiquity to contemporary society. Particular attention is given to the moral and ideological significance of patriotism within the system of military values and its role as a factor in strengthening national identity and social cohesion, approached through a philosophical lens. The article also explores modern security concepts and the redefinition of patriotism within the global geopolitical environment, as well as current methodological and ethical approaches to instilling a spirit of homeland defense in the consciousness of military personnel. Special focus is placed on harmonizing patriotic principles within Uzbekistan’s new military-ethical policy and strategic approaches to educating youth in the spirit of military patriotism, justified through socio-philosophical analysis. In conclusion, the article presents findings on the theoretical and practical importance of integrating the concept of patriotism into the system of modern military values.
