Annotatsiya

This article analyzes the modeling of a fragment of the linguistic consciousness of residents of the Brest region. The aim of the study is to identify the structure of the associative field of the stimulus phrase “Brest region” and to describe the mechanisms of stereotypy and variability in its semantic content. To achieve this goal, a free association chain experiment was conductedamong 200 participants in the sports and tourism industries. The methodology includes a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the entire set of associative responses obtained, as well as semantic classification of associations into thematic groups. The study identified a stereotypical associations, as well as specific responses based on the respondents' professional backgrounds. The practical value of the study lies in its potential use in developing courses on cultural linguistics, ethnopsycholinguistics, and associative linguistics, as well as serving as a methodological basis for future research.
