The article provides information on the influence of crops included in short-rotation crop rotation systems implemented in the conditions of the Republic of Karakalpakstan on the bulk density of the soil. Before the start of the experiment, soil samples were taken and analyzed in the 0-30 and 30-50 cm soil layers at the beginning and end of the growing season. At the end of the 2016 season, the bulk density of the soil was 1.43-1.54 g/cm3, and after the introduction of crops into the crop rotation system, i.e., at the beginning of the 2019 season, the bulk density of the soil was 0-30; In the 30-50 cm layer, it averaged 1.35-1.53 g/cm3 across the variants.
