The article investigates the hydraulic characteristics of water flow in open horizontal collector–drainage networks, particularly in sections covered with dense reeds and other aquatic vegetation. The Divankul collector was selected as the object of research. Based on field experimental studies and Kármán’s phenomenological theory, a semi-empirical expression for determining the hydraulic resistance coefficient was developed. The reliability of the proposed expression was assessed by comparing numerical simulations with field experimental results, showing a relative error of 4%. The obtained results are of practical importance for hydraulic calculations and the efficient operation of collector–drainage systems.
