The article analyzes effective methods for developing critical thinking in Russian language lessons. Critical thinking plays a crucial role in students' active application of knowledge and enhancing their problem-solving abilities. The study conducts research and analytical activities based on Dostoevsky's work "A Writer's Diary". Various methods are examined, including group work, integrated lessons, reflection sessions, critical discussions, multimedia resources, and empathy development. These approaches contribute to fostering critical thinking in students, enhancing their creative thinking, and developing effective teamwork skills. The main objective of the article is to identify contemporary methods for cultivating critical thinking in Russian language lessons and evaluate their effectiveness. Critical thinking also increases students' engagement in the process of individual learning and helps expand their cognitive abilities. Overall, the methods proposed in the article serve as effective tools for developing critical thinking skills in Russian language lessons.
