In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Arabic vocabulary was extensively utilized in the newspapers of Uzbekistan and Egypt. In Uzbek newspapers, the Arabic lexicon was employed to articulate themes of national awakening, education, and enlightenment. Conversely, Egyptian newspapers predominantly adhered to the norms of classical and literary Arabic. This article investigates the vernacular style of Uzbek newspapers and the artistic and literary devices utilized in the Egyptian press. By analyzing the lexical and stylistic features of these newspaper texts from both linguistic and cultural perspectives, the study aims to elucidate the role of the Arabic language in the cultural life of Uzbekistan and Egypt.
