The use of English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) in higher education is becoming increasingly relevant in the context of globalization. This article examines the theoretical foundations, practical aspects, and scholarly debates regarding the implementation of EMI. The study highlights the importance of needs analysis, content-based instruction (CBI), task-based language teaching (TBLT), and the use of authentic materials. Challenges related to teacher training, adaptation of educational materials, and cultural and contextual factors are discussed. The conclusion emphasizes that EMI contributes to improving the quality of education and the international competitiveness of graduates despite existing challenges
