In translation theory, ensuring that national characteristics are fully and accurately conveyed is a key area of research. Each nation possesses its own culture, traditions, and national mindset, all of which are communicated through language. This article examines the theoretical foundations of conveying national characteristics in translation and discusses practical methods for transferring them into another language. It also analyzes how these national characteristics are rendered in English, with a particular focus on the novel Bygone Days.
