Today, with the rapid development and progress of our country as a humane and democratic state, there is a need to improve the legal profession as one of the most important institutions for ensuring the protection of the rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests of individuals and legal entities. In particular, the issues of standardizing the provision of legal assistance by lawyers to clients are gaining particular importance, as current trends in the development of this institution and the simplification of the process of obtaining a lawyer’s license lead not only to positive consequences but also to negative ones. Based on these challenges, the author conducts a legal analysis of the need to establish standards for lawyers in providing legal assistance to clients and proposes recommendations for their development based on foreign experience.
