This article analyzes the use of phraseological units in the headlines of French newspapers. The study covers structural, semantic, stylistic and pragmatic aspects of the use of phraseological units. The results show that phraseological units are actively used to increase the attractiveness, expressiveness and impact of headlines. The analysis emphasizes the importance of phraseological units as linguocultural elements reflecting the characteristics of national culture and mentality. The study confirms the need for a deeper and more comprehensive study of phraseological phenomena in the media space.
