Annotatsiya

This article examines the cultural aspects of studying a foreign language, including English literature, American regional studies, and Russian (foreign) literature. Every person in modern society must understand the diversity of human cultures, respect other cultural traditions, and be able to see the valuable aspects of the culture of different peoples. These aspects can be taught to schoolchildren in philology classes in general education schools in the process of studying the subjects of the English language, English literature, foreign literature, and local history. The cultural aspect includes knowledge of extralinguistic and linguistic material. The extralinguistic content of the cultural aspect is information obtained from the manner of speech, history, geography, and traditions of the language being studied. Linguistic material consists of words and phraseological units with a national-cultural component, as well as texts. The article also pays attention to these needs.
