This article examines the effects of planting schemes and tuber planting depths on the growth, development, and productivity of early- and medium-maturing potato cultivars under the agro-climatic and soil conditions of the northern districts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Local and foreign potato varieties were planted using 70×30 cm and 90×20 cm schemes at depths of 5–6 cm and 9–10 cm. The study assessed emergence time, stem and leaf development, leaf area, stem biomass, and final yield parameters. The results showed that planting potatoes at 90×20 cm with 5–6 cm and 9–10 cm depths ensured optimal plant growth and higher productivity. Notably, the Sante, Arnova, and Romano cultivars demonstrated significantly higher yields compared to the standard variety. Based on the obtained results, practical recommendations for planting potatoes during the third ten-day period of March and the first ten-day period of April using 70×30 cm and 90×20 cm schemes were developed for the northern region of Karakalpakstan.
