This article examines the historical development processes related to the provision and protection of the rights of persons with disabilities, the formation of attitudes towards them, and the current state. At the same time, the rights of persons with disabilities are studied in accordance with international and national legal frameworks, and their evolution is chronologically traced. The article presents the foundations of protecting the rights of persons with disabilities in national legislation and the new edition of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
