The article addresses certain issues related to ensuring the methodological preparation of biology teachers for innovative activities. Along with discussing how readiness for innovative activities develops over a long period of time, theoretical perspectives are presented on the key characteristics of innovative activities, such as the drive for innovation and creativity.
