This article explores the methodological foundations of social cognition by examining the dialectical relationship between empirical and theoretical levels of knowledge. It argues for a more integrated methodological approach to social sciences, highlighting the importance of philosophical rigor, particularly dialectics, in enhancing empirical sociological research. The study also discusses the evolution of sociological theory in post-Soviet Uzbekistan, emphasizing the necessity of harmonizing philosophical and empirical methods for effective social analysis.
