The purpose of the article. On the basis of the theory and practice of Belarus in the field of ideological construction, reveal the socio-philosophical sources, essence, stages of formation and mechanisms of functioning of the ideology of the Belarusian state. The objectives of the research are: to show the urgent historical need of the social project “Ideology of the Belarusian State”; highlight and characterize the main stages of theoretical comprehension of the ideology of the Belarusian state; to determine the philosophical base of the ideology of the Belarusian state; to carry out a comparative analysis of the content of the concepts of "political ideology" and "ideology of the state"; to reveal the mechanisms of functioning of the ideology of the Belarusian state. Research methods and methodology. In the process of working on the topic, the dialectical method, methods of analysis and synthesis, comparative analysis, historical and logical were used. The degree of research of the problem. At the beginning of the 21st century, T.I. Adulo, E.M. Babosov, V.V. Buschik, G.A. Vasilevich, L.E. Zemlyakov, V.A. Melnik, S.V. Reshetnikov and other Belarusian scientists [1; 3; 4; 5; 6]. However, there are a number of issues that require further systemic analysis, taking into account social dynamics. Scientific novelty. The study reveals the essence, main stages of formation, philosophical base and mechanisms of functioning of the ideology of the Belarusian state. Fundamentally new is the author's interpretation of the content of the concepts of "political ideology" and "ideology of the state." Conclusions. In its formation and development, the project “Ideology of the Belarusian State” went through three stages. Gradually, it was filled with concrete content, acquired a systemic form, played an important role in the formation of a sovereign nation state. It is necessary to distinguish between the content of the concepts "political ideology" and "ideology of the state." Based on the available theoretical developments, political ideology can be defined as a system of ideas that expresses the interests and goals of various subjects of politics and serves as an instrument for preserving, or, conversely, destroying existing power institutions, relations in order to replace them with new ones. In terms of content, the ideology of the state means the domestic and foreign policy strategy of the state as a subject of politics.
