This article presents a comparative analysis of the Salam contract and the contractation agreement in Uzbekistan's legislation. The Salam contract is an important component of the Islamic financial system, which involves prepayment for goods or products and subsequent delivery of the products at a specified time. This contract is widely used in the agriculture and industrial sectors. The contractation agreement in Uzbekistan's legislation is a sales contract between the producer and the buyer, which stipulates the obligation to deliver the produced goods within specified deadlines. This type of contract is mainly associated with the delivery of agricultural products. The article compares the main legal features of the Salam contract and the contractation agreement, including payment and delivery terms, obligations of the parties, liability, and risk management mechanisms. Furthermore, the article examines the similarities and differences between the prepayment system specific to the Salam contract and the payment mechanisms in the contractation agreement.
