This article analyzes the role of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in the foreign policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The authors of the article systematized the key principles of Uzbekistan’s strategy towards the SCO, considering historical and modern aspects of cooperation. Proposals for deepening and expanding interaction with this multilateral structure in the context of current and potential challenges to regional security and development are also discussed. This study highlights the importance of the SCO for strengthening Uzbekistan's international position and further developing its foreign policy priorities.
