The article describes in detail the criminal law aspects of the voluntary refusal of the perpetrator and accomplice to commit a crime. The author defines the meaning, conditions, legal consequences, and impact on the responsibility of other participants in the refusal of the crime by the perpetrator and co-perpetrator. Based on practical examples, the author examines the views of criminal law doctrine on the question of the responsibility of other participants in cases where the perpetrator renounces the crime. It is concluded that in cases when the perpetrator and co-perpetrators, realize that the crime can be completed, voluntarily and finally stop the action (inaction) aimed at creating conditions for the commission of a crime or its direct execution, liability is excluded. Based on the results of the study, proposals have been developed to improve criminal legislation and judicial practice.
