This article examines environmental challenges and their solutions in the contextof sustainable development of tourism and recreational activities. This article examinesenvironmental problems arising in the development of tourism and recreational activities, providesexamples of the compatibility of economic growth with careful attitude to the environment. It issubstantiated that sustainable development of tourism in Tajikistan is possible, in particularthrough the integration of international standards of environmental management and activecooperation with international organizations. The purpose of this study is to provide the necessaryinformation for the development of ecotourism and provide the necessary information forecotourism.
