The article highlights the historical and cultural foundations of the concepts of"pilgrimage" and "travel", their importance for the development of society. The preservation anddevelopment of traditional values shaped by pilgrimage, as well as travel, and the concepts of"pilgrimage" and "travel" are analyzed in detail using the Venn diagram. A comparative analysisof the general similarities and differences of concepts in various aspects is determined and carriedout. The dictionary and spiritual meanings of the concepts "pilgrimage" and "journey" areconsidered.
