Мысленно обращаясь к личности человека, много лет работавшего рядом, но уже ушедшего из жизни, вузовский языковед, как и любой другой учёный, посвятивший себя преподаванию в высшем учебном заведении, чаще всего вспоминает результаты двух форм деятельности своего коллеги: количество и научную состоятельность учеников, им подготовленных, и качество, количество и степень жанрового разнообразия научных текстов, им опубликованных.
